Rock the Block is an extension of Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity’s neighborhood revitalization efforts. We believe that stable, affordable housing is a key determinant of health. The house and neighborhood where one grows up significantly impacts health and longevity. By partnering locally with residents, community leaders, and organizations, we aim to address real concerns and improve the lives of those in the neighborhood.
 
Event Highlights:
Community Building: A day to bring people together, uplift the neighborhood, and celebrate community.
Volunteer Projects: Activities include park clean-ups, tire removal, brush trimming, flower planting, and light exterior repairs.
Family-Friendly: Open to youth grades 7 and up (must be at least 11 years old) to participate.

Since 1977, the Applebutter Fest has been a beloved local tradition, offering a blend of historical
​re-enactments, artisan crafts, live music, delectable food, and of course, delicious apple butter. What began as a modest gathering has blossomed into a vibrant event, drawing over 30,000 attendees annually. Guided by the Historical Society of Grand Rapids Ohio, our dedicated team of volunteers takes pride in building an unforgettable experience for all.

As part of our Conda Family Zoo For All program, a Sensory Area will be available in the Mazza room, located on the top floor of the ProMedica Museum of Natural History, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day. This area is designed as a quiet zone, offering sensory-friendly activities with dedicated staff and volunteers ready to support any sensory needs.

Join us for the 5th Annual Mayhem Halloween Bash, a fun Trunk or Treat event for everyone. Enjoy a variety of food/treat trucks that will serve tasty treats and snacks.
Play on our Halloween-themed mini golf course, which offers a fun challenge for all ages. A DJ will play great music to keep the energy high and encourage dancing throughout the evening.
Host trunks can enter the trunk decorating contest, showcasing their creativity and Halloween spirit, with prizes for the best designs. Additionally, everyone can visit our skilled face painters, who will create fun Halloween designs.
With plenty of activities, tons of candy, and a lively atmosphere, the 5th Annual Mayhem Halloween Bash is the perfect place for families and friends to celebrate the season.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.

Since 1989, the Alzheimer’s Association mobilized millions of Americans in the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk® ; now the Alzheimer’s Association is continuing to lead the way with Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Glovation will have a stilt walker there to join everyone in the walk to end Alzheimer’s!
